1. The approach used on this website

The website uses limited storage for practical functions: remembering that you have closed the cookie notice, carrying a project selection through the enquiry process and supporting protection against repeated form submissions.

No advertising pixels or analytics trackers are included in the website. The notice is informational: choosing “Got it” or closing it acknowledges the notice. It does not subscribe you to marketing, enable optional tracking or create an agreement for a service.

2. Cookies, local storage and session storage

A cookie is a small value stored by a browser that can be sent with requests to the website it belongs to. A session cookie normally lasts for a browsing session, while a persistent cookie may remain until its expiry or removal.

Local storage is a separate browser feature that keeps information for a website on a particular browser and device. It does not necessarily expire automatically. Session storage is similar, but is associated with an individual tab or browsing context and is normally cleared when that session ends.

These technologies are not interchangeable. Clearing one type of stored information may not clear the others, and a browser’s restore-session or privacy settings may affect how long some information remains.

3. Remembering the cookie notice

When you dismiss the notice, a small preference is written to local storage. Its purpose is to avoid showing the same notice repeatedly in that browser. It records the dismissal state, not your name, email address or project description.

There is no automatic expiry attached to this local preference. It may remain until you clear the website’s browser data or the browser removes it. A different browser, device or private-browsing session may show the notice again.

You can reopen the notice using “Cookie notice” in the footer. Reopening it displays the information again; it does not enable additional tracking or create a new marketing preference.

4. Remembering a project selection

When you choose a project category or type, the website may keep that selection in session storage for the current tab. This helps the contact form reflect the service you selected elsewhere on the website.

This stored selection is limited to the category and project type. The feature does not save your name, email address, location or written project description in browser storage. A successful form submission clears the saved project selection.

The selection normally ends with the tab’s browsing session, subject to browser session-restoration behaviour. A selected category may also appear in a page address when a link carries it to the form. Such an address can remain in browser history or be shared if you copy the link.

5. The form-submission session

When the enquiry endpoint is used, it may create a first-party session cookie. The browser holds a session identifier that allows the server to associate requests with the same session and apply checks against rapid or duplicate submissions.

The cookie is not used to build an advertising profile. Submission-protection records can include attempt times and a short-lived fingerprint used to recognise a previously accepted request. This does not mean the full enquiry text is stored in the cookie.

The browser cookie is configured for the session. Associated server-side records may remain according to the host’s session cleanup arrangements. The cookie is marked to prevent access by page scripts and restrict cross-site sending; on an HTTPS connection it is also marked for secure transport.

6. Storage summary

The descriptions above concern the website’s own functions. Browser settings, restored sessions and hosting behaviour can affect the practical lifetime of stored information.

7. Third-party tracking and hosting

The website’s fonts, images and interface libraries are served locally. These assets do not require a connection to an advertising network, hosted font service or external analytics platform during normal page use.

Hosting infrastructure may keep technical request records or apply its own security controls. Server logs are different from cookies stored on your device. The Privacy Policy explains technical information and the role of operational suppliers.

If you follow a link to another website, its cookies and storage practices are governed by that service. This policy does not control what an independent provider or external website stores in your browser.

8. Managing browser storage

Your browser’s privacy or site-data settings usually allow you to:

• View and remove cookies and other data associated with a website.
• Block some or all cookies or limit storage for individual websites.
• Clear browsing history and site data after use.
• Use a private-browsing session with its own storage behaviour.

The exact controls vary by browser and device. Check the browser’s own help information if you need instructions. Settings on one device do not necessarily apply to another browser or device.

Deleting stored preferences does not withdraw or delete an enquiry already sent to the operator or a provider. Requests concerning submitted personal information should be made through the process described in the Privacy Policy.

9. What happens if storage is blocked

Most public content can be read without saved preferences. If local storage is unavailable, the cookie notice may appear again. If session storage is blocked, a project choice may not carry across pages or return after navigation.

If the submission session cookie is blocked, controls intended to protect the form may not work as expected, and a request may fail or require another attempt. This does not mean optional advertising storage is needed to use the enquiry service.

A failed form response should not be treated as confirmation of receipt. Check the message shown by the form before assuming that a request has been accepted.

10. Optional technologies and future changes

The current website does not offer optional advertising or analytics categories because those technologies are not installed. Closing the notice cannot enable a category that does not exist.

If optional technologies are added, their purposes, relevant recipients and storage periods should be explained before use. Any consent or other controls required by applicable rules must be provided. A previously saved notice dismissal should not be treated as permission for a new, unrelated tracking purpose.

11. Relationship to personal information

A preference or session identifier may seem less descriptive than a name or email address, but technical identifiers can still relate to a person or browsing session in some circumstances. They should be handled consistently with their stated purpose and applicable privacy requirements.
