Website policies
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information may be collected through this website, why it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you. It covers browsing the website, making a service enquiry and communicating about that enquiry.
1. Scope and responsibility
In this policy, “we”, “us” and “the operator” mean the organisation responsible for operating this website and handling enquiries submitted through it. “You” means a visitor, a person making an enquiry or someone communicating on their behalf.
The website provides information and helps users request an introduction to an independent service provider. The operator’s handling of an enquiry is separate from a provider’s subsequent assessment, quotation or work. A provider may have its own privacy notice and responsibilities for information you share directly with it.
2. Information you provide
You may browse the public pages without creating an account. When you submit the enquiry form, the information requested includes your name, email address, service category, project location, project description and confirmation that you agree to the stated sharing of your enquiry. A project-type selection may also be included.
The details you write in your message become part of the enquiry. Provide only information relevant to the project. A general location may be sufficient at the initial stage; do not include access codes, identity documents, payment-card details, medical information or other sensitive material that is unnecessary for the request.
If you contact us again, the resulting messages and any information needed to understand or respond to them may also be retained. If you provide another person’s details, you should be authorised to do so and make them aware of the purpose of sharing.
3. Technical and browser information
When a browser connects to a website, technical information is exchanged to deliver pages and protect the service. Hosting infrastructure may record information such as the requested page, connection address, browser information, request time and an error or security event. The information available and its retention depend on the hosting arrangements.
The website also uses limited browser storage to remember dismissal of the cookie notice, retain a project selection within a browsing session and support protection against repeated form submissions. The website does not include advertising pixels or analytics trackers. Further information appears in the Cookies Policy.
4. How information is used
Information is used for purposes connected with operating the website and responding to your request, including:
- Receiving, reviewing and understanding a service enquiry.
- Responding to questions or asking for details needed to progress the enquiry.
- Considering whether a relevant independent provider may be available and, with your permission, sharing the relevant request details.
- Maintaining the website, investigating errors and protecting the enquiry process against spam, duplicate requests or other misuse.
- Keeping records needed to address follow-up questions, complaints, disputes or obligations that apply to the operator.
Submitting an enquiry is not a subscription to advertising communications. We do not use the enquiry form to enrol you in a marketing list. If an additional purpose is introduced, it should be explained before information is used for that purpose, with any permission required by applicable rules.
5. Your request and permission
Some information is needed to take the steps you request, such as receiving an enquiry and arranging a possible introduction. Other processing supports operation and security of the website or obligations that apply to the operator. Where consent is required, it must be requested for the relevant purpose rather than assumed from unrelated activity.
The form asks you to acknowledge this policy and permit relevant enquiry information to be shared with independent providers to discuss the request. You may choose not to submit the form. Without the details needed to understand and respond to an enquiry, it may not be possible to progress it.
You can ask to withdraw permission for future sharing. Withdrawal does not undo information already communicated or affect processing that has another applicable basis. The specific legal basis and rights that apply depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
7. Operational suppliers and other disclosures
Hosting, technical support and email-delivery suppliers may process information needed to provide their services. Submitted enquiries are handled through email, so request details may be present in mail systems, communications and associated backups. Technical access should be limited to the functions the supplier performs.
Information may also need to be disclosed where an applicable obligation requires it, in response to a valid legal request, or where reasonably necessary to investigate misuse or protect legitimate rights and safety. Such disclosure should be limited to information relevant to the circumstances.
This website does not provide an advertising-data marketplace or use enquiry information for behavioural advertising. A potential introduction to a provider is the service you request, not permission for unrelated data uses.
8. Where information is handled
The location of processing depends on the operator, its hosting and email suppliers, and any provider involved in your enquiry. Information may therefore be processed outside the place where you live or access the website.
Where applicable rules impose requirements on cross-border processing, the relevant parties must address those requirements. This policy does not represent that every recipient or system is located in a particular country. You may ask the operator for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.
9. Retention and deletion
Information should be retained for a period appropriate to the purpose for which it is held. Relevant considerations include whether an enquiry is active, whether follow-up is expected, whether a complaint or dispute remains unresolved and whether an applicable obligation requires a record to be kept.
Different types of information may have different retention periods. An email exchange, a security record, a backup and a preference stored in your browser are not necessarily removed at the same time. Retention of enquiry messages is managed through the operator’s communication and record-handling arrangements; submitting a form does not start an automatic deletion timer.
You may ask about the retention of your information or request deletion. A request may be subject to a continuing need to keep certain records. Clearing browser storage removes local preferences and identifiers, but does not delete an enquiry that has already been sent.
10. Security and confidentiality
The website uses form validation and submission controls intended to reduce inappropriate or repeated requests. Secure handling also depends on the hosting environment, email arrangements, access management and the practices of the people receiving an enquiry.
No website, email system or transmission method can be described as completely secure. Use care when deciding what to send, particularly from a shared or public device. Do not include passwords, access credentials or unnecessary sensitive information in a project description.
If you believe information has been sent to the wrong recipient or you notice a potential security issue, contact the operator with a concise description. Do not include further sensitive details unless they are needed and an appropriate method of sharing has been agreed.
11. Access, correction and other choices
You can ask what information is held about your enquiry, request correction of inaccurate information, ask for deletion or raise a concern about future use or sharing. Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, other rights may include receiving a copy, limiting particular processing, objecting to processing or transferring information.
These rights are not necessarily identical in every situation. A request may require clarification, reasonable verification of identity or consideration of an obligation to retain information. Only information reasonably needed to handle the request should be requested for verification.
To make a request, use the website contact form and identify it as a privacy matter. Explain the information or enquiry concerned and the outcome you are seeking. Avoid sending identity documents in an initial message. Where an applicable supervisory or complaint body is available, you may also have the right to raise a concern with it.
12. Children and information about others
The enquiry service is intended for people able to make a service request and authorise the sharing of the relevant information. It is not designed to collect information from children or to provide services directed at them.
If you believe a child’s information has been submitted unnecessarily, or that another person’s details have been shared without appropriate authority, contact the operator so the matter can be reviewed. Do not include additional information about that person unless it is needed to identify the request.
13. Other websites and providers
Links or introductions may lead to services operated by other organisations. Their websites, communication tools and record-handling practices are outside this policy. Review the relevant privacy information before providing them with additional personal information.
The presence of a link, example or possible introduction does not mean the operator controls the recipient’s systems or guarantees its privacy practices.
14. Questions and policy changes
This policy may be updated when the website, enquiry process or information-handling arrangements change. Review the current version when making a new request. A policy update does not, by itself, provide permission to apply an unrelated new use to information already collected.
For a question about this policy or information connected with your enquiry, use the website contact form. Identify the subject clearly so it can be distinguished from a new service request.
Use the website contact form to ask about these policies or an existing enquiry.
